About Us
We are a husband and wife team and dog training is our passion. Theresa grew up as a dog lover without a dog of her own and, after getting her first dog four years ago, her love only grew. That stubborn, opinionated Miniature Pinscher turned out to become one of her greatest teachers. After making every mistake in the book with him, she began her education in understanding dog behavior and quickly realized that she wanted to pursue a career in training. She continued to educate herself through training friends' dogs and her own. She also worked at a boarding kennel and volunteered at the SPCA. While all of this was helpful, she decided to further her education at National K9 Academy. She is now a Professional Dog Trainer with certifications in Basic and Advanced Obedience, Behavior Modification, Puppy Development, and Service Dog Training. She is also a member of the International Association of Canine Professionals, a CGC Evaluator for the AKC, and a National K9 Dog Trainers Association member.
Patrick also grew up loving dogs, especially his childhood Husky, Chuck. He is always by Theresa's side as they work as a team to train their four dogs. He also offers continued support with client's dogs by helping to facilitate lessons. Although his current focus is on the technical part of running the business he is excited to further his experience in training. We both love watching the relationship between a person and their dog grow stronger and look forward to helping this happen for you!
